The congregation grew quickly. A few years later they out-grew that facility, and moved to a larger facility– across the street to the SE Corner of 3rd Ave. and 6th Street.
By 1963, the congregation had grown to 230 members, and through the vision of Rev. Blue (the pastor at that time), a piece of property was purchased at 2300 SW 15th Ave. and the dome shaped structure– with seating capacity of over 700 was constructed.
Eventually, the educational wings of the church were constructed and the congregation marched from downtown Fort Lauderdale to SW 15th Avenue where the church still sits today on it's beautiful campus in the River Oaks community- City of Fort Lauderdale.
Over the years, the ministry of this church has impacted lives near and far. Many of the past congregants have moved on to become ministers and leaders in their community, while many continue to find purpose and a place to serve.
Today, Dayspring International continues to share the Good News of Christ, preaching the gospel to the rich and poor— reaching others with the message of God’s love.
With a creative partnership through the Bags of Hope organization, the needs children and youth in our community are met in a unique way, and lives are being changed. Many around the world (Haiti, India, Guyana, etc.) are being served in significant ways in time of suffering and need. This church continues to be a lighthouse in this community and around the world.
